Makeup Junkie, & Lover of all things Indian.
Malisha is an Indian who was born in Fiji but lives in Australia. Her parents always tell her, “Never forget your roots.”
“My parents never let me forget my culture and where I came from. My father’s ancestors are from North India and my mothers from the South - so I get the best of both worlds. In fact I have an obsession with all things Indian - meaning the clothing, the decor in my room and the food.”
Malisha is constantly inspired by the patterns and colours seen throughout India. Her favourite things include, elephants, silk sarees, gold jhumkas and her mother making fresh dosas from scratch at home.
“My style is inspired by the Indian patterns. Heavy Indian borders, mandala and paisley patterns are seen consistently throughout my wardrobe. In terms of being a makeup blogger, I’m inspired by my ability to express my creative side through makeup. The fact that it’s not just about winged liner or the perfect eyeshadow blend - but using a face as a canvas to create any look. The moment that is alway rewarding for me is when people have their makeup done and see themselves for the first time- that priceless look for happiness and confidence that comes from that moment is truly amazing.”
We are truly inspired by your creativity, Malisha. Love Malisha style or her lehenga? Shop this look.
“Fun fact, I have tattoos and even those are inspired by my Indian culture. It is a Mandala with Hindi inscription and an elephant.”
